Windgap I-Can Initiative

The Windgap Foundation has recently taken Service Users through the I-Can Assessment Tool, in collaboration with the University of Sydney. The I-Can is a support needs assessment, planning and resource allocation tool designed to assess and guide support delivery for people with disabilities. Windgap Nutrition Program Update

Congratulations to all our Amazing Supported Employees who completed the Windgap Nutrition Program. The Program is very special to Windgap because it was driven by the Supported Employees themselves. All involved committed to 6 months without sugary drinks and did a tremendous job. We held a very special Graduation Ceremony today recognising all the fine achievements. Over the period of the challenge, our Supported Employees reported weight loss, improved energy and productivity in their lives. Surprises at Windgap End Of Year

What a lovely day of surprises on our final day for the year at Windgap Enterprises. We were visited by Windgap Ambassador, Matt King and family, together with Windgap friends, Elle Ferguson and Ben Lowe, and players from the South Sydney Rabbitohs. We had a great Supported Employee Party with BBQ and a surprise visitation from Lachlan Place from the Australian Turf Club Mounted Division. Supported Employee Award Celebrations

Windgap celebrated its Christmas Party last Friday and it was a splendid evening of fun with dancing, masks and much cheer. Part of the festivities of the evening involved recognising our Supported Employees and staff that reached milestones and were absolute stars throughout the year. Congratulations to all those for your wonderful achievements.

A New Home

Windgap recently opened a new Supported Accommodation Residence in Pagewood. The Hon. John Ajaka, NSW Minister for Ageing and Disability Services, was on hand to officially open the home and check out the brand new, purpose-built space. We look forward to sharing many happy moments and good times with our service users in their new home!

International Day BBQ Celebration

Windgap Enterprises recently celebrated International Day Of People With A Disability with a fun barbeque. Snags and smiles aplenty were shared and had by all!

Windgap E-Learning Program

A huge thank you to Orica who launched our E-Learning Program as part of celebrations for International Day Of People With A Disability. Windgap was successful in securing funding through the 2015 Orica Botany Community Investment Program. With new resources such as Ipads and Learning Applications, Windgap hopes to grow the literacy, learning and numeracy skills of our clients.  

Sensory Room Launch

A huge thank you to Michael Daley MP who toured our Margate Day Program and officially opened our Sensory Room. This great space was made possible by a generous grant through the Community Building Partnership Program. We hope it will stimulate the senses and be a great educational classroom for years.
