Team Supervisor – ADE

We are currently seeking an experienced Team Supervisor to join our Australian Disability Enterprise on-site at our offices based in Eastlakes.

The purpose of this role is to model appropriate workplace behaviour and provide person-centred support to empower our Supported Employees to reach their full potential in a workplace setting.

The key roles and responsibilities of this position are as follows:

  • Understand the needs and experiences of the people we support and uphold their rights
  • Implement individual and group programs that assist supported employees to develop work and life skills in both production and outdoor services environments
  • Ensure task based instructions given to supported employees are reinforced and provide positive guidance and support
  • Promote community presence, choice, respect and meaningful community contribution, including off-site work experiences and opportunities
  • Develop, implement and monitor Holistic Support Plans
  • Ensure work is produced to the agreed quality standard of all production customers
  • Ensure team resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to achieve customer service goals
  • Record on a daily basis progress against production targets
  • Provide assistance to Vocational Educators in fulfilment of training and support plan
  • Administration duties as required

To be successful in this opportunity, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

  • Strong commitment to inclusion of people with disabilities within the community
  • Team oriented with the ability to work autonomously as required
  • Strong focus on delivery of quality customer service
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail in all areas of production
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and relate to people we support and their families and friends
  • Good level of general fitness and ability to complete manual handling tasks including some lifting
  • Be flexible, highly motivated, possess emotional intelligence, maturity, a sense of humour and willingness to subscribe to the Windgap mission and values
  • Maintain current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to drive large vehicles and fork lifts
  • A current First Aid Certificate

Supported Employment

As part of the Windgap Foundation’s supported employment, Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE)  has  a wonderful team of staff who support all ADE employees as they complete their work and learn new skills.The types of work available at ADE include contract packaging, light engineering and assembly, re-working of customers’ products, labelling, folding, stapling, gluing, inserting, wrapping, packaging and lawn services.

We also have a Growability service, engaged in  light maintenance work such as lawn mowing and gardening.We offer full time and part time work. 
 
ADE and Growability service is open from 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.You can apply for work in our ADE if:

  • You would like to be trained to work
