Our Recruitment Process

1. Initial Assessment and Selection

We assess all applications against the position requirements and selection criteria.

2. Telephone Interview

If you are assessed as a potential candidate, we will contact you for a brief telephone interview. You may be asked about your work experience, availability and interests.

3. Interview

If you are selected, you will be invited for a face to face interview. The interview will consist of a combination of behavioural and general questions. A panel of two people will be present. They will give you information about Windgap and the role you have applied for, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions.

4. Pre – employment Checks

As part of our recruitment process, we will request a criminal record check, speak to two referees including your most recent employer and ask you to attend a pre-employment medical examination.

5. Offer

If you are the person who is most suitable for the vacancy and your pre-employment checks are satisfactory, we will telephone you to offer you the position. We will negotiate your start date and terms and conditions.

6. Acceptance of Offer

If you accept our offer we will send you a letter of offer confirming the terms and conditions of your employment.

7. Your First Day

New employees will attend our Organisational Orientation on their first day of employment with Windgap. Following Orientation, new employees will commence Induction with their new Supervisor at their site location. For new employees who will be working across various sites, they will attend a site Induction at each location.
