Windgap Connect Sponsors and Supporters – Summer 2024

Message from CEO Andrew Anderson

Hello Valued Supporters,

Welcome to the first edition of Windgap Connect for 2024!

It’s great to have all our programs, employment and community activities back up and running, for what is shaping up to be an exciting and eventful year for Windgap.

We enjoyed a tremendous Christmas period at Windgap, with holiday celebrations happening all around our organisation. This was capped off with our Windgap Christmas party taking place at The Juniors Kingsford. I would like to congratulate Kym on winning our 2023 Spirit of Windgap award, and William on winning our Supported Employee of the Year. It was a lovely way to end a successful 2023 for Windgap.

It’s also the count down to our biggest fundraising event of the year, the 2024 Windgap Gala Ball! Tickets are now on sale and we are also asking for your support by joining us at the event or assisting with prize donations, to ensure we reach our fundraising goal.

Kindest regards,

Andrew Anderson

A special shoutout to Bryanna (Windgap LLN Trainer), who led this initiative, championing the voices of our Participants and ensuring they had a platform to express their thoughts on subjects close to their hearts.

Four episodes are out now. Click here to listen on Spotify. Be sure to keep an eye out with more episodes to come.

Living the Values Awards

Windgap strives to improve the quality of life for people with an intellectual disability by supporting them to reach their full potential as to their needs and aspirations. To aid this we have 5 core values: IntegrityCare – Empowerment – InnovationIndependence. We are delighted to share the recipients of our Annual Living the Values Awards, given to those employees who exemplified these values. Congratulations: Louise, Aisling, Carol and Tahj.

Able Plus Randwick

Windgap recently attended our local Able Plus event. This event served as a platform for service providers to come together and engage with Individuals with disabilities, Families & Carers, Teachers, and Local Area Coordinators. We believe in the power of collaboration and networking to enhance the support and services we offer, and are pleased to have been part of an event that facilitates such important interactions.

Our Partners and Supporters

Clean Up Australia

We are delighted to once again partner with Clean Up Australia packing up kits for their Clean Up Australia Day Event, providing supported employment and workplace training to adults with intellectual disabilities. They were lovely enough to make an appearance at our head office and spread some sweetness and gratitude to our hardworking team at our Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE) warehouse by dropping off some Drumstick Ice Creams. Our amazing supported employees are busy packing Clean Up Australia kits for the upcoming events, and the ice cream treat was the perfect pick-me-up. Thank you for supporting inclusion and making a positive impact!
